MALFUNCTION
TEST OR INSPECTION
CORRECTIVE ACTION
Step 2.
Check feed high pressure switch for accuracy.
Refer lo feed high pressure switch troubleshooting (malfunction 1).
Step 3.
Check for plugged or frozen high pressure and pressure sensing lines in the ROWPU.
(a)
Repair as necessary.
(b)
Refer to high pressure pump power circuit troubleshooting if the above steps have not isolated the
problem.
1.
High pressure control valve leaks at the stem.
Tighten the stem packing adjusting nut.
If the leak cannot be stopped, replace the stem packing (para. 2-17).
2.
System pressure selector valve leaks at the stem.
Tighten the stem packing adjustment (para. 2-17).
If the leak cannot be stopped, replace the valve (para. 2-17).
3.
Automatic valve actuator does not work.
Disassemble actuator and check for damage.
Repair as necessary (para. 2-42).
1.
Safety valve does not work. (Ref. Schematic diagram FO-1, sheet 8, schematic line 822)
Shut down ROWPU and generator.
Refer to electrical drawings in Appendix D. Remove wires from TB1-67 and TB1-77 (REF: Interconnection diagram
FO-2, Sheet 9). Check continuity, point-to-point, from transformer T1 (X1) (REF: Interconnection diagram FO-2, Sheet
10) to TB1-67 and from TB1(X2) to TB1-77.
(a)
Repair any loose or damaged wire (para. 2-20).
(b) Replace circuit breakers CB7 or CB9 (REF: Interconnection diagram FO-2, Sheet 8) if open (para.
2-23).
(c) Replace switch PB3 (REF: Interconnection diagram FO-2, Sheet 11) if open (para. 2-22).
(MODEL WTA-060 ONLY)
1.
TDS meter does not work. (Ref. Schematic diagram FO-1, sheet 8, schematic lines 810-811).
Shut down ROWPU and generator. Refer lo the electrical drawings in Appendix D. Check continuity, point-to-point,
from transformer T1(X1) (REF: Interconnection diagram FO-2. Sheet 10) to J13A (REF: Interconnection diagram
FO-2, Sheet 9) Repeat the procedure from T1(X2) to J13B.
(a)
Repair any loose or damaged wire (para. 2-20).
(b)
Replace circuit breakers CB7 or CB9 (REF: Interconnection diagram FO-2, Sheet 8) if open (para.
2-23).
(c)
Replace switch PB3 (REF: Interconnection diagram FO-2, Sheet 11) if open (para. 2-22).
(d) Replace/repair connector J13 if faulty (para. 2-21).
