FLOW CONTROL VALVE
GENERAL
This work package lists the common malfunctions that you may find during the operation or maintenance of the
flow controller (FCV41) in the Ultrafiltration (UF) module used in the Lightweight Water Purifier (LWP). You
should perform the tests/inspections and corrective action in the order listed. This valve has a flow rate of 5
gallons per minute.
This manual cannot list all malfunctions that may occur, nor all tests or inspections and corrective actions. If a
malfunction is not listed or is not corrected by listed corrective actions, notify your supervisor.
MALFUNCTION

Flow controller clogged
Remove and clean cartridge
1. Low flow
Troubleshoot UF module if feed pressure
Check UF feed pressure
is lower than 35 psi. WP 0028 00.
Installed backwards
Check direction of arrow on housing
2. No flow
indicating direction of flow (WP 0090 00).
