TM 3-4230-218-12&P(3) Inspect burner fuel system for the following:(a) Clogged or damaged strainer (8).(b) Hoses (1, 2, 5, 6, and 9) are punctured, cracked, or notsecurely attached to fittings.Loose hose fittings causeleaks and prevent the system from operating properly.(c) Gasket (4) is worn, frayed, cut or torn.(d) Lid assembly (3) is damaged, threads are stripped or fuelhose connections are bent.(4) ReplaceReplace damaged fuelconnection.(a)(b)(c)(d)defective components as follows:NOTEhoses one at a time to prevent hooking to a wrongDisconnect defective hose (1, 2, 5, 6,assembly (3).Trace defective hose to its terminationtiedown straps (7) as required.Install new hose from lid assembly (3)or 9) from lidpoint .Removeto termination point.Secure hose by installing tiedown straps (7) (item 10,Appendix E).Fuel Hose Repair.4-41
