Step 2.
Feed adjustment wingnuts loose. Reset the feed adjustment and tighten the wingnuts.
Step 2.1.
(Raider Model only) Control knob thumbscrews loose. Reset control knobs and tighten thumbscrews.
NOTE
The Raider Model 72-PVC Duplex chemical solution feeder control knob index marks relate to diaphragm
pump output capacity only (0-100%). Setting of the control knobs must be determined by analyzing the
treated water.
Step 3.
Feeder fails to prime. Prime by hand (refer to para 2-3, b. (6)).
Step 4.
Check for poppet valve being dirty or worn. Clean or replace the poppet valves (refer to para 3-43).
Step 5.
Check for defective pump diaphragm. Replace the pump diaphragm (para 3-43).
8. SLUDGE CONCENTRATOR TANK FAILS TO CONTROL SLURRY BLANKET .
Step 1.
Slurry blanket rising too rapidly. Reduce agitator speed.
Step 2.
Slurry blanket rising above circulator baffle. Adjust the valve (3, fig. 2-13).
Step 3.
Valves not correctly positioned. Reposition valves (1 and 2, fig. 2-19) and (4, fig. 2-13).
9. WET WELL FAILS TO DELIVER ENOUGH CLEAR WATER.
Step 1.
Valves not positioned correctly. Reposition the valves (2, fig. 2-19) and (4, fig. 2-13).
Step 2.
Filter pumps fail to deliver water. (Refer to fig. 2-17). During startup and normal operating
positions, refer to Table 2-1 for proper position of valves.
