1. VAN LIGHTS FLICKER OR WILL NOT LIGHT.
Check for burned out lamp.
Replace burned out lamp.
2. LOW WATER ALARM SYSTEM FAILS TO OPERATE .
Check for properly adjusted float.
Adjust the float (refer to para 2-3 b. (10) (n).
3. NO ELECTRIC POWER TO WATER TREATMENT EQUIPMENT.
Check main power cables for proper connection.
Connect the cable leads.
WATER PURIFICATION UNIT
4. ERDLATOR FAILS TO DELIVER DESIRED QUANITY OF WATER.
Step 1.
Check for drivebelt incorrectly adjusted or worn. Adjust the tension of the drivebelt by turning the
hand wheel (4, fig. 2-20) counterclockwise to tighten. The adjustment is correct when the belt can
be depressed about one inch at a point midway between the pulleys.
Step 2.
Controls incorrectly adjusted. Adjust the feed indicators (2 and 5, fig. 2-5) and the control valves (5
and 7, fig. 2-10 and 1 and 2, fig. 2-19).
Step 3.
Excessive sludge in erdlator tank slurry pool above weir box takeoff slot. Adjust the valves (1 and 2
fig. 2-19) controlling the drawoff to the wet well tank.
