3-16. HUNTER HEATER FUEL FILTER AND VALVE ASSEMBLY.
a.
General. The fuel filter is located on the inside of the Hunter personnel heater assembly. It filters water and
other foreign matter from the fuel before it reaches the heater.

Maintenance. For information on maintenance of the fuel filter assembly refer to TM 5-4520-227-14 for UH-68-4
model heaters and TM 5-4520-233-14 for UH-68-D and -E models.
3-17. PERSONNEL HEATER EXHAUST STACK.
a.
General. The exhaust stack (fig. 3-7) for the personnel heater is located in the front bonnet end of the van body
above the truck cab. It carries the exhaust gases from the heater to the outside of the van for the safety of the operating
personnel. The exhaust stack is the same for Hunter and Perfection heaters.
