shields. The rear lights consist of seven red lights (15) for normal operation and the two white lights (14) equipped with
blackout shields. Four amber reflectors (4) are mounted on the front lower portion of the body and four red reflectors (12)
on the rear lower portion. A filtered water outlet cap (5), two waste water outlet caps (6), and a cable outlet cap (7) are
located on the right side and a water inlet (11) at the rear. There are six screened windows (16), two at each side and
two at the rear. The side windows are stationary but the rear ones can be opened with a crank from the inside. The van
is equipped with three levels (8), one on each side and one at the rear, for leveling the unit. The van body bonnet (3)
contains an installed personnel heater. When open, the side panels (2, fig. 1-3) permit removal or replacement of the
erdlator assembly and may be used as an operating platform in temperate weather.
3-13. VAN BODY SERVICING.
WARNING
Drycleaning solvent, P-D-680, used to clean parts is potentially dangerous to personnel and property.
Wear chemical resistant gloves when using solvents, and avoid repeated or prolonged skin contact.
Do not use near open flame or excessive heat. Flash point of solvent is 100 degrees F to 138
degrees F (38 degrees C to 59 degrees C).

Cleaning. Clean van body top, and sides thoroughly with soap and water to remove accumulated dirt deposits.
Remove grease using drycleaning solvent.
