Installation.
(1)
Position reflector (1, fig. 4-32) on the van body with the screw holes of reflector aligned with those of the
van body.
(2)
Secure the reflector to the van body with the two screws (3) and washers (2).
3-19. DATA PLATES AND INSTRUCTION HOLDERS.
a.
General. There are 18 identification and instruction plates located at various areas on the van body and
purification unit. Refer to paragraph 1-11 which contains descriptions with accompanying figures for exact location of
each plate.
WARNING
Drycleaning solvent, P-D-680, used to clean parts is potentially dangerous to personnel and property.
Wear chemical resistant gloves when using solvents, and avoid repeated or prolonged skin contact.
Do not use near open flame or excessive heat. Flash point of solvent is 100 degrees F to 138
degrees F (38 degrees C to 59 degrees C).
b.
Cleaning and Inspection. Clean plates with drycleaning solvent.
c.
Replacement. Replace any plate on which instructions or wording have been obscured by damage or use.
3-20. ACCESSORIES.
a.
General. Accessories are used to place the end item in an operational mode, to cause it to function as intended
and to perform emergency repairs which cannot be deferred until completion of mission. These accessories are
illustrated on figure 3-8.
NOTE
Items 1 through 10 are furnished with the water purification unit, items 11 through 37 are furnished
with the water purification set.
b.
Replace. Check accessories for serviceability and replace when found to be unserviceable.
