3-25. FRAME SUPPORTS AND HOUSING.
WARNING
Drycleaning solvent, P-D-680, used to clean parts is potentially dangerous to personnel and property.
Wear chemical resistant gloves when using solvents, and avoid repeated or prolonged skin contact.
Do not use near open flame or excessive heat. Flash point of solvent is 100 degrees F to 138
degrees F (38 degrees C to 59 degrees C).
a.
Cleaning. Clean the frame with drycleaning solvent.
b.
Inspection. Inspect the frame for broken welds, bent members, and chipped or damaged paint.
c.
Adjust. Readjust any supports which are out of adjustment.
3-26. SLURRY FEEDER MOTOR DRIVEBELT.
a.
Cleaning. Clean the drivebelt with soapy water.
b.
Inspection. Inspect the drivebelt for cracks, wear, and dryness.
c.
Adjustment. (Refer to fig. 3-10).

Move the motor away from the speed reducer to apply tension to the drivebelt. The belt is correctly
adjusted when it can be depressed from 1/2 to 1 inch at a point midway between the two pulleys.
(2)
When the belt has been adjusted to the correct tension, tighten the nuts on the four screws.
3-27. MOTOR DRIVE PULLEYS.
Inspect the motor drive pulleys for cracks, chips, excessively worn grooves and looseness on shaft.
