3-36. ELECTRICAL CONTROL PANEL CABINET ASSEMBLY.
a.
General. The electrical control cabinet (fig. 3-20) is mounted to the front of the sludge concentrator tank. It
contains the circuit breaker, motor starters, ON and OFF switches, transformer, receptacles, low waster alarm toggle
switch, alarm buzzer, and warning light indicator.
WARNING
Dry-cleaning solvent, P-D-680, used to clean parts is potentially dangerous to personnel and property.
Wear chemical resistant gloves when using solvents, and avoid repeated or prolonged skin contact. Do
not use near open flame or excessive heat. Flash point of solvent is 100 degrees F to 138 degrees F (38
degrees C to 59 degrees C).
b.
Cleaning. Clean control cabinet with dry-cleaning solvent.
c.
Inspection. Inspect control cabinet door for proper fit, door hinge for operating conditions, and cabinet assembly
for obvious damage.
3-37. TERMINAL BOARD ASSEMBLY.
a.
General. The terminal panel is located in the electrical control cabinet and is fastened to the back of the cabinet.
It provides a central point for connecting wires to distribute power from its source to all components of the water
purification unit.

Inspection. Inspect terminal panel for broken terminals, damaged threads on terminal studs and nuts, corroded
bus bars, and defective terminal screws.
3-38. POWER CABLE ASSEMBLIES.
a.
Raw Water Pump Cables. Two 50-foot number 4 conductor electrical cable extension assemblies are provided
for placing a single raw water pump 100 feet (31 meters) from the truck.
