Generator Power Cable. A 50-foot cable is provided to supply power from the generator set to the van body.
c.
Distribution Pump Power Cables. A 50-foot number 4 conductor elastic cable is provided to supply power from
the van body outlet to the distribution pump.
d.
Inspect.
(1)
Inspect power cables for damaged or broken plugs, damaged insulator or broken wires.
(2)
Inspect receptacle connectors for cracks or other damage.
3-39. GROUND ROD ASSEMBLY.
A ground rod, attached to a number 6 bare copper cable, approximately 6 feet (2 meters) long is used to ground the
generator trailer and the purification unit van body. Unserviceable rods or damaged copper cable must be replaced.
3-40. RAW WATER FLOW INDICATOR.
a.
General. The raw water flow indicator (7, fig. 3-21) is located in the raw water line between the inlet hose and
top of the erdlator. It indicates in gallons per minute the amount of raw water being pumped to the erdlator tank.
WARNING
Dry-cleaning solvent, P-D-680, used to clean parts is potentially dangerous to personnel and property. Wear chemical
resistant gloves when using solvents, and avoid repeated or prolonged skin contact. Do not use near open flame or
excessive heat. Flash point of solvent is 100 degrees F to 138 degrees F (38 degrees C to 59 degrees C).
b.
Cleaning.
(1)
Wipe flow indicator with a clean cloth dampened with dry-cleaning solvent.
(2)
Clean bracket with dry-cleaning solvent (item 1, App. E).
c.
Inspection.
(1)
Inspect bracket for cracks.
(2)
Inspect indicator for cracks, leaks, broken glass, pointer loose on shaft or not set at zero, and markings on
dial not legible.
