Repeat steps 2. and 3. above on other side of vehicle.

Remove slack from wire rope assembly by lifting up on end of spreader bar.

Pass chain of spreader bar out through opening of rear dual wheels (fig. 4-3). Do not pass chain
through wheel openings where valve stem is located.
7.
Pull chain as tight as possible and attach chain to hook on spreader bar.
8.
Repeat steps 5. through 7. above on other side of vehicle.

To attach vehicle rear lifting sling assembly (fig. 4-4), remove cotter pin (5, fig. 4-2) and pin (4)
from shackle (3). Secure shackle to top hole of spreader bar, using pin and cotter pin, and attach rear sling cable hook to
shackle.

Repeat step 9. above on other side of vehicle.

To attach vehicle front lifting sling, adapt procedures in step 9. above, securing shackle (6, fig. 4-2)
and lifting sling to lifting eye, already installed on wheels, using pin (7) and cotter pin (8).

Repeat step 11. above on other wheel.
13.
Before attempting to lift vehicle, inspect spreader bar chain to hook, being sure they are secure,
check installation of all shackles to ensure pins and cotter pins are properly installed and secure.

Storing kit storage box. After installing rear wheel lifting kit on vehicle, store kit in van or in other
convenient location.
NOTE
Upon completion of use of rear wheel lifting kit components, remove sear wheel lifting kit components
from vehicle and stow in box. Store rear wheel lifting storage box in van, or use other means to
transport rear lifting kit.

lifting kit box.
