4-2. UNPACKING EQUIPMENT.
The water purification equipment is normally packed in the van body and a cargo trailer that is supplied as part of
the water purification set. Set the truck chassis handbrakes, leave the transmission in gear, and place wheel chocks
behind and in front of the rear wheels. Remove the leveling jacks from the Jack storage box and place one under each
corner of the van body. After selection of water site. Timbers may be used to level truck chassis prior to leveling the
van. Adjust the jacks until the levels (8, fig. 1-2) indicate the van body is level. Remove the seals from the outside door
handles. Open the doors (2 and 13) and remove the two entrance ladders (10, fig. 1-3) and position one to the front
entrance and the other to the rear entrance. Open the side panels (2). Remove the waterproof paulin from the trailer
cargo body. Remove the roof bows and rear body rack, and drop the rear tailgate.
