Accessories, Water Testing Equipment, Tools, and Chemicals.
(1)
Accessories, tools, and water testing equipment. Open the accessory stowage box (14, fig. 1-3) and
check the contents against the basic issue items list in Appendix B to see if all items are present and in good condition.
Pay particular attention to the water testing equipment in the carrying case to see if any damage occurred during
shipment. After inspection, place items in accessory box.
(2)
Chemicals. Remove the crated chemicals from the cargo trailer and van body. Open the crates and
check the chemicals against the basic issue items list in Appendix B to see if all are present and undamaged. Place the
chemicals back in their crates after inspection and pack the crated chemicals in the cargo trailer and van body.
CAUTION
Be especially careful not to puncture the chemical containers or bags.
4-4. SERVICING EQUIPMENT.

Inspection. Make a detailed inspection of the equipment in accordance with instructions in paragraphs 4-3 and 4-
13.
b.
Servicing.
(1)
Water purification unit.
(a)
Lubricate the water purification unit as specified in figure 3-1.
(b)
Perform the preventive maintenance services as specified in table 4-1.
(2)
Auxiliary equipment.
(a)
Generator set. For information and instructions covering lubrication and servicing, refer to the
applicable generator technical manual.
(b)
Trailer. For information and instructions covering lubrication and servicing of the trailer, refer to TM
9-2330213-14.
(c)
Truck. For information and instructions covering lubrication and servicing of the truck, refer to TM 9-
2320-209-20.
(d)
Gasoline driven distribution pump. Perform the preventive maintenance services on the gasoline
driven distribution pump (located in TM supplied with pump).
(e)
Personnel heaters. For information covering lubrication and servicing of the specific heater model,
refer to TM 54610-227-14 or TM 5-4520-233-14, whichever TM applies.
