7. ERDLATOR FAILS TO DELIVER DESIRED QUANTITY OR QUALITY OF WATER .
Step 1.
Check for incorrectly adjusted or worn drivebelt.
Adjust or replace the drivebelt (para 4-43).
Step 2.
Check for incorrectly adjusted controls.
Adjust the feed indicators and control valves CV-10, CV-11, CV-16 and CV-17 (table 2-1).
Step 3.
Check for excessive sludge in erdlator tank slurry pool above weir box take-off slot.
Adjust the valves (CV-16 and CV-17, table 2-1) controlling the drawoff to the wet well tank.
Step 4. Check for incorrect chemical dosage.
Adjust the chemical dosage.
Step 5. Check for banking or rotating slurry; too much slurry pool motion.
Decrease the agitator mixing speed.
Step 6.
Check for boiling appearance of slurry pool; baffles in bottom of erdlator tank plugged.
Drain and clean the erdlator tank.
