4-25. DOOR HANDLES.
The double door at the rear of the van body and a single door on the right side are each equipped with an outside
and inside door handle mechanism (figs. 4-14 and 4-20).

Outside Door Handle.
(1)
Removal.
(a)
Remove three screws (12, fig. 4-20) and lockwashers (11) from door (10). Loosen setscrew (8) and
remove handle (4).
(b)
Pull straight out on door handle (1) to remove it from door (10).
(2)
Installation. Position the door handle (9, fig. 4-20) to the door (10) and secure it with the three screws (12)
and lockwashers (11). Install handle (4) and tighten setscrew (8).
(3)
Replace. If the handle is unserviceable, replace it.

Inside Door Handle.
(1)
Removal.
(a)
Remove screw (8, fig. 4-20) and pull handle (4) from latch (3).
(b)
Remove nuts (5, fig. 4-14) and screws (4) and remove the cover (3).
(2)
Replace. If the handle is unserviceable, replace it.
(3)
Installation.
(a)
Position cover (3, fig. 4-14) over latch and install screws (4) and nuts (5).
(b)
Position handle (4, fig. 4-20) on latch assembly (3) and secure with screw (8).
4-26. DOOR LATCHES AND BOLTS.
a.
Removal.
(1)
Remove inside door handle (para 4-25 b.).
(2)
Remove screws (6 and 11, fig. 4-14) and remove lower bolt assembly (12).
(3)
Remove two cotter pins (5, fig. 4-20) and washers (7) from latch assembly (3).
