Remove top lever (2) and bottom lever (6) from latch assembly (3).

Remove screws (1) and pull latch assembly away from door.
NOTE
The top bolt assembly is removed in the same manner as the bottom bolt assembly in step (2) above.

Replace. Replace any unserviceable parts.
c.
Installation.
(1)
Secure latch assembly (3, fig. 4-20) to inside of door with screws (1).
(2)
Secure top lever (2) and bottom lever (6) to latch assembly (3) with washers (7) and cotter pins (5).
(3)
Attach handle (4) to latch assembly (3) using screw (8).
(4)
Position bolt assembly (12, fig. 4-14) on door (10) and secure with four screws (6).
(5)
Attach lever (13) to bolt assembly (12) with screw (11).
(6)
Position cover (3) on latch and install screws (4) and nuts (5).
4-27. DOOR NIGHT LATCHES.
a.
General. The door night latches are located on the inner side of the doors and are used to lock the doors from
the inside.
b.
Removal. Remove four screws (1, fig. 4-14) and pull night latch (2) from door (10).
c.
Replace. If the latch is unserviceable, replace it.
d.
Installation. Secure night latch (2, fig. 4-14) to door (10) with four screws (1).
4-28. STATIONARY WINDOW.
a.
General. There are four stationary windows in the van body. Two are located in the left side door, one in the
right side door, and one in the right side wall. The windows are equipped with a metal sliding panel for blackout
operation.
b.
Removal.

Remove four screws (1, fig. 4-21) and remove guard (5) from window (3).
