Reassembly and Installation.
(1)
Position door hinge (2, fig. 4-30) on door (4); install and tighten screws (3).
(2)
If the rubber seals were removed, cut and fit new seals to the door.
(3)
Position door (4) on van body bonnet; install and tighten wood screws (1).
4-34. VAN BODY ROOF HATCH.
a.
Removal.
(1)
Loosen four bolts (3, fig. 4-31) at corners of roof hatch assembly (5) so that they will be caught by
lockwashers (4) and cotter pins (2).
(2)
Lift hatch and remove rubber seals (1) from their seats.
(3)
Remove hatch assembly (5) by pushing straight up and away from van body.
b.
Disassembly. Remove cotter pins (2, fig. 4-31) and lockwashers (4) from bolts (3) and remove bolts from hatch
assembly (5).
c.
Replace. Replace all defective parts. Replace hatch if it is bent or twisted.
d.
Reassembly.
(1)
Install new rubber seals (1, fig. 4-31). Cut four seals to fit outer edge of hatch (5).
(2)
Slide lip of seal in groove provided around hatch.
e.
Installation.
(1)
Place hatch (5) in position over hatch opening.
(2)
Secure hatch (5) to van body using four bolts (3), lockwashers (4) and cotter pins (2).
