Position wires in junction box and screw cable connector (2) on connector nut (3).

Position cover (1) on Junction box and install four screw (10).
(9) Movedrive motor (3, fig. 3-10) toward speed reducer and install drivebelt on pulleys (1 and 4).

Move motor away from speed reducer to apply tension to drivebelt. Belt is correctly adjusted when it can
be depressed from 1/2 to 1 inch at a point midway between the two pulleys.

When belt has been adjusted to the correct tension, tighten nuts on four screws (5, fig. 3-10).

Position guard (1, fig. 4-36) on frame (5) and secure with three screws (4) and washers (3).
4-44. RAW WATER OR DISTRIBUTION PUMP FRAME.
WARNING
Before connecting to external power source, make sure all power controlling switches are off and the truck
chassis is grounded. Never handle live electric wiring. High voltage may cause serious injury or death.
a.
Removal of Pump from Frame.
(1)
Disconnect electrical cable (15, fig. 2-18) from short section of cable attached to electric motor (14).
(2)
Remove nuts (12), washers (13), and screws (11).
(3)
Lift electric motor (14) and pump out of frame (1) as an assembly.
b.
Replace. Replace the assembly if either motor or pump is damaged. Weld all breaks, straighten bent members,
and repaint the frame if it is chipped or damaged.
d.
Installation of Pump in Frame.
(1) Position pump in frame (1, fig. 2-18) and install screws (11), washers (13), and nuts (12).
(2)
Attach electric cable (15) to short section of cable attached to electric motor.
(3)
Wrap cable around hose and cable bracket (16).
