d. Installation.
(1)
Position erdlator agitator drive motor (6, fig. 3-9) on adjustable base and install screws (11), washers (9
and 10), and nuts (8).
(2)
Insert power cable lead wires (14, fig. 4-35) through connector nut (3) into junction box (4).
(3)
Connect cable lead wires to correct motor lead wires, as tagged, by twisting the ends together.
(4)
Screw a wire nut (10) over each splice and wrap wires with tape.
(5)
Attach ground wire (13) to junction box (4) with screw (12).
(6)
Position wires in junction box and screw cable connector (2) on connector nut (3).
(7)
Position junction box cover (15) on junction box (4), and install four screws (16).
(8)
Position drivebelt on drive motor pulley and adjust belt (para 4-43 d. ).
e. Drivebelt.
(1) Removal.
(a)
Turn handwheel (7, fig. 3-9) clockwise to loosen drivebelt (4).
(b)
Remove belt from drive pulleys (3 and 5).
(c)
Remove screws (8, fig. 4-35) and raise pillow block bearing (5) off bearing mount (9) far enough
to allow removal of belt (7).
(2)
Installation and Adjustment.
(a)
Raise the pillow block bearing (5, fig. 4-35) and slide drivebelt (7) over bearing.
(b)
Install screws (8) and secure with lockwashers and nuts.
(c)
Position drivebelt (4, fig. 3-9) on drive pulley (3) and in second groove of drive motor pulley (5).
(d)
Align drive belt by loosening setscrew (2) and moving drive pulley (3) to right or left on erdlator
drive shaft (1).
(e)
When the drivebelt is aligned with both pulleys, tighten the setscrew (2).
