Connect union (8) and tighten securely.

Position pipe strap (12) over conduit and secure to waste tank (13) with screw (10) and lockwasher (11).

Install elbow (2) on nipple (3); then install pipe (4) in elbow.

Install grating (1) on tank (13).
4-77. CHEMICAL SOLUTION TANKS.
a.
Removal.
(1)
Remove wingnut (1, fig. 3-33) and washer (9) from clamp cover stud (2), and lift clamp arm (3) from
covers (4 and 7).
(2)
Remove tank covers (4 and 7) from tanks (5 and 6),
(3)
Lift tanks from chemical feed equipment frame.
(4)
Remove clamp stud (2) by turning counterclockwise until it is free from nut (8) welded to base.
b.
Replace. If the tanks or covers are defective replace them. Replace other unserviceable parts.
c.
Installation.
(1)
Insert stud (2, fig. 3-33) through hole in mounting base and screw into nut (8) welded to base.
(2)
Position tanks (5 and 6) in slurry feeder frame.
(3)
Install two tank covers (4 and 7) on tanks.
(4)
Screw nut (8) on stud (2) to level of covers; then install a flat washer (9).
(5)
Position clamp arm (3) over stud (2) and install flat washer (9).
(6)
Secure clamp arm (3) down on tank covers (4 and 7) with wingnut (1).
(7)
Tighten nut (8) up against clamp arm (3).

a.
Removal.
(1)
Disconnect tubing (7, fig. 4-56) from adapter (10) at bottom of the dilution tank (11).
