Remove the bridge rails (para. 4-81).
(5)
Remove the three capscrews (4, fig. 4-57) and lockwashers (3) from the erdlator top bracket (2) and van
body (1).
(6)
Remove three nuts (7), lockwashers (8), capscrew (5), flat washers (6), and top bracket (2) from erdlator
tank (9).
(7)
Remove eight screws (2, fig. 4-58), washers (4), one nut (3) from erdlator tank (1) and erdlator tank
mounting plate (5).
(8)
Lift erdlator tank (1) high enough to clear wheel well (6) and remove it from van body.
b.
Repair. Repair cracks and punctures by welding. Straighten dents with an aluminum or other soft hammer.
c.
Replace. Replace the tank if it cannot be repaired.
d.
Installation.
(1)
Position erdlator tank (1, fig. 4-58) on erdlator mounting plate (5) in van body.
(2)
Secure erdlator tank (1) to mounting plate (5) with eight screws (2), washers (4) and nuts (3).
(3)
Position upper erdlator tank mounting bracket (2, fig. 4-57) on erdlator tank (9) and fasten it to van body
with three capscrews (4) and lockwashers (3).
