(3) Unscrew and remove compression ring (2) from bowl (3).
(4) Remove the bowl (3) and O-ring gasket (4) from the housing (5).
WARNING
Drycleaning solvent, P-D-680, used to clean parts is potentially dangerous to personnel and property.
Wear chemical resistant gloves when using solvents, and avoid repeated or prolonged skin contact.
Do not use near open flame or excessive heat. Flash point of solvent is 100 degrees F to 138
degrees F (38 degrees C to 59 degrees C).
c. Cleaning. Clean all parts in drycleaning solvent.
d. Inspect. Inspect all parts for damage.
e. Replace. Replace all damaged parts.
f. Reassembly and Installation.
(1) Install the O-ring (4, fig. 4-73) on housing and position bowl (3) onto the O-ring.
(2) Slide compression ring (2) over bowl (3) and screw onto housing (5).
(3) Install pipe plug (1) in bowl (3).
4-95. WASTE WATER PIPING BETWEEN BOTTOM OF ERDLATOR TANK AND OUTLET IN VAN BODY.
a. Removal and Disassembly.
(1) Remove waste tank and grating (para 4-76).
(2) Loosen two hose clamps (6, fig. 4-74) and slide them onto hose (7). Remove hose from two adapters
(5).
(3) Remove adapter (5) from van body (8) and pipe coupling (4).
(4) Disconnect elbow union (3) and two slip joint couplings (2) and remove assembled piping from van body.
(5) Remove two slip joint couplings (1, fig. 4-75), pipes (2), valves (3), and nipples (4) from elbow (5) and
tee (7).
(6) Remove elbow (5), nipple (6), tee (7), then nipple (8) from tee with union (9).
