Install adapter (4) in elbow (7).

4-104. FILTERED WATER PIPING BETWEEN EFFLUENT PLUG VALVES.
a.
General. This piping is painted green and is located between the two effluent filtered water plug valves. It
carries the filtered water from the filter plug valve to the filtered water piping that leads to the outside of the van body (fig.
4-88).
b.
Removal and Disassembly.
(1)
Disconnect filtered water piping leading to slurry feeder as necessary (para 4-102).
(2)
Disconnect section of filtered water piping leading to outside of van body as necessary (para 4-103).
(3)
Remove two nuts (2, fig. 4-89) and washers (3) securing U-bolt (6) piping support (4).
(4)
Disconnect unions (1) and lift assembly from unit.
(5)
Remove two male portions of unions from plug valves and reconnect unions.
(6)
Remove elbow (8, fig. 4-90) from nipple (7) and nipple (7) from tee (3).
(7)
Unscrew union (1) from nipple (2) and nipple (2) from tee (3).
(8)
Remove tee (3) from pipe (4) and disconnect coupling (5) from both pipes (4).
(9)
Remove pipe (4) from the elbow (6) and unscrew elbow (6) from the other nipple (2).
(10)
Remove nipple (2) from other union (1).
