c. Base Installation
1 Install fuel filter base. Install two flatwashers and bolts.

Install flatwasher on banjo bolt. Install banjo bolt through fitting on fuel line end. Install second flatwasher on
banjo bolt. Install fuel line and hollow screw on filter head. Tighten banjo bolt.

Install flatwasher on second banjo bolt. Install banjo bolt through fitting on fuel return line end. Install second
flatwasher on banjo bolt. Install fuel line and screw on filter head. Tighten banjo bolt.

Install fuel filter (subpara d).
d. Filter Installation

Put light film of engine oil (MIL-L-2104) on filter seal.

Install filter. Hand tighten.

Bleed fuel system. (See TM 10-4610-229-10.)
