2-48. FAN COVER, FANBELT, AND PULLEY REPLACEMENT (CONT)
a. Fan Cover and Fanbelt Removal

Remove seven bolts, lockwashers, and six nuts.
2 Remove fan cover.

Loosen alternator adjusting and mounting screws.
4
Push alternator toward engine. Remove fanbelt.
5
If replacing fan cover or fanbelt only, go to subpara d.
b. Pulley Removal
1
Remove fan cover and fanbelt (subpara a).
2
Remove six bolts and lockwashers.
3
Remove fanbelt pulley from end of crankshaft.
c. Pulley Installation
1
Install fanbelt pulley on end of crankshaft.
2
Aline holes. Install six lockwashers and bolts.
3 Install fanbelt-and fan cover (subpara d).
