2-55. OIL COOLER REPLACEMENT/REPAIR (CONT)
CAUTION
There is a small amount of pressure pushing downward when removing plug. Be careful not to
lose ball or spring.

Unscrew plug. Remove plug, ring, spring, and ball from oil cooler.
b. Cleaning and Inspection
WARNING
Solvent may cause toxic fumes. To prevent personal injury, work only in well-ventilated area.
Do not breathe fumes for a long time.
Solvent is flammable. To prevent fire or explosion, do not bring sparks or open flame near
solvent.

Clean parts with solvent.

Wipe dry.

Inspect parts for damage. Replace damaged parts.
