Use. To perform PMCS, follow the directions listed for each column below.
(1)
Item No. This column numbers the checks and services in order of performance. It is the source of item
numbers for the TM Number Column on DA Form 2404, Equipment Inspection and Maintenance Worksheet.
(2)
Interval. This column tells you when to do a certain check or service. The codes in this column are as
follows:
Q - Perform these checks and services once every 3 months and upon receipt of new-equipment.
S - Perform these checks and services once every 6 months.
(3)
Item to be Inspected Procedure. This column tells you what item is to be inspected. It also tells you how
to do the required checks and services. Carefully follow these instructions. If directed by the procedure, or if you do not
have the required tools, notify your supervisor.
NOTE
Perform unit PMCS before performing these PMCS.

Raw Water Pump Assembly
CAUTION
To prevent damage to equipment, do not operate engine without
suction hose immersed in water supply to keep pump cool and
lubricated.

Raw Water Pump. Start engine. (See TM 104610-229-10.)
Check pump for unusual noise and vibration. Replace as
required (para 2-22).

Battery. Service battery. (See TM 9-6140-200-14.)

Instrument Panel. Check gages for damage and proper
operation. Replace as required (para 2-18).

Wiring Harness. Check wires for damage and loose
connections. Tighten or replace as required (para
2-19).
