Rheostat Replacement
1
Remove two screws and lockwashers. Remove upper rear cover.
WARNING
To prevent electric shock, make sure battery is disconnected before performing this procedure.

Tag and remove wire from light switch.

Desolder wire from rheostat.
4
Remove rheostat retaining nut. Remove rheostat.
5
Install rheostat in panel. Install retaining nut.
6
Solder wire in place on rheostat. Remove tag.
7
Connect wire to light switch. Remove tag.
8
Install upper rear cover. Install two lockwashers and screws.
9
Connect battery (para 2-16).
