2-81. HOUSING AND V-BELTS REPLACEMENT/REPAIR (CONT)
WARNING
To prevent electric shock, make sure battery is disconnected before performing this procedure.

Tag and disconnect three wires from start switch.

Disconnect safety shutoff cord spring from rear housing.

Remove five mounting bolts and lockwashers. Remove rear housing.

If replacing housing only, go to subpara e.

V-Belts Removal

Remove housing (subpara a).

Loosen two locknuts. Loosen two adjusting screws.
3
Remove four bolts, flatwashers, two brackets, and belt tensioner assembly.

Remove V-belts from pulleys.
