Diode Trio Testing

Disassemble alternator (subpara e).

Connect one lead of multimeter to the single connector.
3
Connect other lead to one of three connectors. Check reading.

Reverse leads.
NOTE
A good diode trio will give one high and one low reading.

If both readings are the same, replace diode trio.

Repeat steps 1 thru 5 between the single connector and each of the other two connectors.
7
Connect the multimeter to each adjacent pair of terminals (a total of four checks).
8
If any reading is infinity, replace connector body.
