GENERAL.
This section contains maintenance procedures which Maintenance Allocation Chart authorizes Unit to perform. If
hypochlorination unit still does not operate properly after performing these maintenance procedures, contact Direct
Support for assistance.
4.15
MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS.
Hypochlorite is caustic and can cause severe chemical burns. To avoid injury:
Death or severe injury can occur from ingestion of hypochlorite solution. Do not swallow solution.
Do not breathe fumes from solution or dust from hypochlorite powder.
Wear required protective clothing any time you are handling calcium hypochlorite.
If hypochlorite solution comes in contact with skin or eyes, flush immediately with large amounts
of water, and seek medical attention.
If hypochlorite solution spills on equipment, rinse with large amounts of water.
