AIR TRANSPORT BY C-130 AIRCRAFT - CONTINUED

SUMMARY OF PROCEDURES
NOTE
The following summary of procedures is provided to assist personnel preparing the machine for air transport
by C-130 aircraft.
1.
Configure machine for air transport:
a.
Remove windshield wiper arm and windshield.
b.
Remove ROPS/FOPS.
c.
Install cutting edge wheels.
d.
Install load transfer axles.
e.
Install load transfer relief valve and hose assembly.
f.
Remove water pump motor hydraulic hoses and stow on top of tank.
g.
Remove exhaust stack and install exhaust extension.
h.
Remove upper handrail with side mirror.
i.
Remove handrails from rear of water distributor and stow at front of tank.
j.
Install two long (10 3/4 in.) steering locks, one each steering cylinder.
k.
Install turnbuckles and raise cutting edge wheels and load transfer axle wheels off ground.
l.
Drive machine to aircraft ramp.
m.
Remove turnbuckles.
n.
Install two remaining short (6 5/8 in.) steering locks.
o.
Drive machine into aircraft.
p.
Install turnbuckles.
q.
Block and tie down machine.
r.
Load ISU-60 container into aircraft and tie down.
