Removal.
(1)
Remove screw (6, fig. 4-39) pivot cover (8) and gasket (7) to gain access to wires (2).
(2)
Remove terminal screws and tag and remove wires (2). (3) Remove two screws (5) securing microswitch
(3) to bracket (1).
(4)
Remove clamp (9) securing conduit (4) to switch (3) and gently pull conduit from switch; remove
microswitch.
c.
Replace. Replace all unserviceable switches.
d.
Installation.
(1)
Feed wires (2, fig. 4-39) from conduit (4) through threaded opening in switch (3).
(2)
Use attaching clamp (9) to secure conduit (4) to switch (3), and position switch on bracket (1).
(3)
Install and tighten two screws (5).
(4)
Fasten wires (2) to terminals on switch.
(5)
Position gasket (7) and cover (8) on switch and install two screws (6).
(6)
Operate the switch to be sure it is operating properly.
4-52. BLACKOUT TOGGLE SWITCH.
a.
General. The blackout toggle switch is located in the van roof panel. The switch is for a 110-volt system and is
used for the van lights when the unit is stationary and using power from a 110-volt system.
b.
Removal.
(1)
Remove knurled nut (2, fig. 2-4) from toggle switch (3).
(2)
Remove six screws (1) and remove cover plate (5) from switch.
(3)
Tag and disconnect wires leading from toggle switch
(3)
and remove switch.
c.
Replace. Replace unserviceable switches.
