4-53. LOW WATER LEVEL SENSITIVE SWITCH.
a.
General. The low water level sensitive switch is mounted on the rim of the erdlator tank. It is a single-pole,
spring-loaded, plunger-type microswitch which normally stays open. Opening and closing of the switch is controlled by
the float in the wet well. When the water is low, or there is no water in the wet well the float drops allowing the float
mechanism to contact the switch and close it. This causes the warning light and buzzer to operate, if the warning light
and buzzer toggle switch is in the ON position. When the water in the wet well raises the float to the preset level, the
float mechanism is raised off the switch, the switch opens and turns off the warning light and buzzer.
