4-80. EFFLUENT LAUNDER ADJUSTABLE SUPPORT RODS.
a.
Removal and Disassembly.
(1)
Remove pin (1, fig. 3-24) and pull handwheel (2) from support rod.
(2)
Remove screws (7) and washers (8) from bracket (9) and plate (12).
(3)
Loosen setscrews (5) to free rod (3) from collars (4).
(4)
Lower rod (3) with plate (12), washer (10), and cotter pin (11), attached.
(5)
Remove collars (4) from rod (3) and remove rod.
(6)
Remove cotter pin (8, fig. 4-59) and flat washer (7) from rod (3).

Unscrew rod (3) from plate (6) and setscrews (9) from collars (2).

Inspect. Inspect the collars for damaged threads and the rod for misalignment. Inspect the mounting hardware
for damage.
