Removal. Unscrew aspirator (13, fig. 4-61) from reducing elbow (12).
c.
Inspect. Inspect the aspirators for cracks and damaged threads.
d.
Replace. If an aspirator is unserviceable, replace it.
e.
Installation. Screw the aspirator (13, fig. 4-61) into the elbow (12).
4-83. ASPIRATOR MANIFOLD ASSEMBLY.
a.
Removal.
(1)
Separate union (6, fig. 4-61).
(2)
Remove screws (8), washers (9), and pipe straps (4).
(3)
Remove aspirator manifold (13) as an assembly.
(4)
Remove half union from pipe (7) and nipple (5) and reconnect union.
b.
Disassembly.
(1)
Remove gage (6, fig. 4-62) from elbow (7).
(2)
Remove elbow (7) from bushing (8), and bushing (8) from lateral (12).
(3)
Remove aspirators (1), elbows (2), nipples (9), valves (10), then nipples (3 and 11) from laterals (4).
(4)
Remove laterals (4) from nipples (5) and nipples (5) from laterals (12).
(5)
Remove and separate nipples (13) and elbow (14).
c.
Inspect. Inspect all parts for damage.
d.
Replace. Replace damaged parts.
e.
Reassembly.
(1)
Screw nipples (13, fig. 4-62) in elbow (14).
(2)
Screw nipple (13) in lateral (12).
(3)
Screw nipples (5) in lateral (12) and a lateral (4) on each nipple.
(4)
Install a nipple (3 and 11), in each lateral (4), a valve (10) on each nipple (11), a nipple (9) in each valve,
then an elbow (2) on each nipple (3 and 9). Screw aspirators (1) in elbows (2).
