Place drain pan under oil drain plug.

Remove oil drain plug and gasket. Drain oil.
5 Clean area around oil drain hole.

Install oil drain plug and gasket.

Remove oil filter. Clean area around oil filter base.

If replacing filter only, go to subpara e.
b. Base Removal and Disassembly

Remove filter (subpara a).

Place drain pan under oil filter housing.
3
Remove oil pressure gage line.
4 Unscrew two oil line fittings from oil filter base assembly.

Remove three mounting bolts and flatwashers. Remove oil filter base assembly.
