2-106. POWER TAKEOFF REPLACEMENT (CONT)
b. Removal
1
Place drain pan under power takeoff.
2
Remove drain plug. Drain oil.
3
Remove dipstick.
4
Connect a suitable lifting device to power takeoff.
5
Remove power takeoff mounting bolts.
6
Remove power takeoff from engine.
c. Installation
1
Put power takeoff into position on engine flywheel, carefully meshing drive spider rubber blocks with internal
teeth of drive ring.
2
Install power takeoff mounting bolts.
3
Fill unit with engine oil (MIL-L-2104) to full mark.
d. Drive Pulley Installation
1
Install pulley, alining it with mark on drive shaft.
2
Install coupling on drive shaft and in pulley.
3
Insert three bolts through unthreaded holes in coupling.
