Place socket-head screw key in impeller screw. Tap with a small hammer until impeller screw loosens.

Remove impeller screw and lockwasher. Remove impeller.

Remove woodruff key.

Remove spacer ring, packing with retainer, and ceramic seal.

Remove shaft and packing ring from intermediate housing.

Remove six bolts and lockwashers. Remove flange and gasket.
b. Clean and Inspect

Clean gasket mounting surfaces.
2
Clean all parts with warm water.
3
Inspect housings for cracks and obvious damage.
4
Inspect stainless steel shaft for nicks, scratches, burrs, and bends.
5
Inspect impeller for cracks and obvious damage.
6
Replace damaged parts as required.
c. Assembly

Wrap stainless steel shaft to protect against scratches.

Install dial indicator.

Place pointer of dial indicator on shoulder of intermediate housing.

Set dial indicator to 0.
5
Observing gage, turn stainless steel shaft one complete revolution.
NOTE
If reading is less than 0.003 inch, go to step 10.

Rotate stainless steel shaft until highest reading is obtained.
7
Loosen four bolts holding intermediate housing.
