Setting Adjustment

Remove front wall cover (para 3-15).

Move setting rod on injection pump in direction of arrow (1) as far as it will go.
NOTE
Gap measurement must be precise to within 0.004 in.

Measure and record gap between end of setting rod and forward edge of the crankcase. This is gap A.

Back off screw one turn.

Evenly press control sleeve up to stop on crankshaft in direction of arrow (2).

Press adjuster lever in direction of arrow (3) so pressure end contacts ring.

With sleeve and lever in this position, turn cam screw so that gap B is 0.020 in. larger than gap A.

Tighten screw.

Install front wall cover (para 3-15).
