Remove adapter.

Remove impeller mounting screw and washer.

Using puller, remove impeller from water pump shaft.

Remove spring and seal from water pump shaft.

Remove four retainer and shaft mounting screws.

Remove center screw and washer.
9
Remove shaft assembly from housing.

Remove O-ring from housing.

Remove seal from housing.
12
Remove ceramic ring from housing.
13
Using puller, remove gear from shaft.
14
Remove retainer, bearing, spacer, and bearing from shaft.
15
Inspect all parts for wear and damage. Replace as required.
b. Assembly
1
Press bearing, spacer, bearing, and retainer on shaft.

Install gear on shaft.
3 Install washer and center screw.
CAUTION
To prevent damage to ceramic ring:
Use water only as lubricant during installation of ring.
Do not put hands on wear surface of ring.
NOTE
Smoothest face of ceramic ring goes next to carbon seal assembly. An installation tool is
provided with replacement ring.
4 Install ceramic ring on seal.
