Use installation tool and hand pressure only. Push ceramic ring into housing.
NOTE
Lipof seal goes toward drive gear.

Install lip-type seal in housing. Tap to seat seal.

Install shaft assembly in water pump housing.

Install four screws that secure shaft assembly to housing.

Remove spring from seal assembly.

Using installation tool, push seal assembly on shaft until seal faces make light contact.

Install spring on shaft.

Install impeller, washer, and screw.

Install O-ring on adapter.

Install adapter on water pump. Install four screws.
15
Install water pump (para 2-99).
