TM 10-4610-229-24 3-64. CYLINDER HEAD REPLACEMENT (CONT) a. Removal 1 Remove nut and bolt. Remove breather tube. 2 Remove four bolts, washers, and two supports. 3 Remove clamp bolt. Disconnect clamp. Reinstall screw in head. 4 Remove 26 cylinder head bolts. 5 Install a 3/8 in. 16 NC forged eyebolt. 6 Connect a suitable lifting device and sling. CAUTION Weight of cylinder head is 350 lb. Do not rest weight of cylinder head on flat portion of head. Damage to fuel injection valves may result. 7 Lift and remove cylinder head. 8 Remove 24 seals and two O-rings. 3-169
