InstallationCAUTIONSpacer plate, spacer plate gasket, top of cylinder block, and surface of cylinder head must beclean and dry. Do not use gasket adhesives or other substances on these surfaces.1Thoroughly clean spacer plate, top of cylinder block, and surface of cylinder head.2Install spacer plate gasket.3Install two O-rings. Install spacer plate.4Install 24 seals and 2 O-rings.5Using suitable lifting device, place cylinder head on engine.6Lubricate cylinder head bolts with engine oil (MIL-L-2104).7Torque cylinder head bolts 1 thru 20 in sequence shown above.Torque bolt in three steps.a. 180-220 ft lbb. 315-345 ft lbc. Check for 315-345 ft lb of torque with hand torque wrench.3-170
