TM 10-4610-229-24 3-67. TIMING GEAR COVER REPLACEMENT(CONT) a. Removal 1 Loosen line nut. Disconnect oil pressure line. 2 Remove bolts and back cover. Remove and discard gasket. 3 Remove bolts and small cover. Remove and discard gasket. 4 Remove timing gear cover mounting bolts. 5 Remove four bolts and support bracket. 6 Remove timing gear cover and gasket. Discard gasket. b. Installation 1 Clean gasket mounting surfaces. 2 Install gasket and timing gear cover. 3 Install timing gear cover bolts. 4 Trim timing gear cover gasket even with bottom of cylinder block. 3-175
