TM 10-4610-229-243-69. POWER TAKEOFF REPAIRa. Disassembly1Remove driving ring retaining bolts. Remove driving ring from flywheel.2Set power takeoff on workbench with input end facing up. Support with wood blocks.3Straighten tabs on lock plate securing three bolts.4Remove three bolts, lock plate, and retainer washer.5Using a gear puller, remove drive spider.6Remove woodruff key.7Inspect rubber block for damage and wear. Remove from spider only if replacement is required.8Remove six bolts from bearing carrier. Install two 3/8 in. -16 screws in threaded holes 180° apart in bearingcarrier.9Tighten screws alternately to separate bearing carrier from power takeoff. Remove bearing carrier.3-179
