(2) Connect pump (3) with electrical box (10) using male grip (18).

Connect wires in electrical box (10) to their correct terminals and install power cable (15) through bottom of
box (10).

Connect discharge and suction lines (6 and 16) to elbows (4) with compression nuts (5).
4-38. FUEL VALVE.
a.
General. The Hunter heater fuel valve is located inside the heater as part of the fuel filter and valve assembly
(para 3-16). It regulates flow of fuel to the fuel pump inside the heater.
b.
Servicing. For information on servicing of the fuel valve, refer to TM 5-4520-227-14 for Hunter heater models
UH-58-4, and TM 5-4520-233-14 for models UH-58-D.
4-39. HUNTER HEATER LIGHT.
a.
Heater Indicator Light. The white indicator light is located on the upper left-hand corner of the heater control box.
It lights when the heater is turned on and stays lit while the heater is operating.

Removal. Unscrew cap on indicator light (5, fig. 2-29) and pull the lamp from the socket.

Installation. Position the lamp in the socket and screw cap on light (5) to secure lamp and cap.
b.
Heater Warning Light. The warning light is a red light located on the upper right-hand corner of the heater
control box. The light comes on automatically when the heater fails to start or run, due to lack of fuel or ignition.

Removal. Unscrew cap on warning light (6, fig. 2-29) and pull the lamp from the socket.
(2)
Installation. Position the lamp in the socket and screw the cap on the light (6) to secure the lamp and cap.
4-40. HUNTER HEATER THERMOSTAT.
a.
General. The thermostat (1, fig. 2-30) is an electrically operated unit attached to the ceiling of the van body in
the rear corner. When set by hand at a temperature above the ambient temperature it controls the operation of the
heater to maintain set temperature.
b.
Removal.

Remove screw (4, fig. 2-30) securing cover to thermostat (1) and remove cover.
