Disconnect wiring within thermostat that connects the thermostat body (1) to the van ceiling (3), and
remove the thermostat.

Installation.
(1)
Connect wiring from van ceiling (3, fig. 2-30) to the thermostat (1) and place thermostat in opening in van
ceiling.
(2)
Secure the cover to thermostat (1) with screw (4).
4-41. HUNTER HEATER FUSE.
The fuse is placed in the electrical system for protection of the heater. For information on servicing the heater
fuse, refer to TM 5-4520-227-14 for Hunter Heater UH-68-4 models, and TM 5-4520-233-12 for UH-68-D and E models.
SECTION XII. MAINTENANCE OF ELECTRICAL MOTORS (OTHER
THAN ENGINE ACCESSORIES)
4-42. ERDLATOR AGITATOR DRIVE MOTOR AND BELT.
a.
General. The motor is located on bridge rails on top of the erdlator tank.
b.
Removal.
(1)
Disconnect electrical power cable (1, fig. 4-35) from receptacle connector.
(2)
Remove four screws (16) and remove Junction box cover (15) from Junction box (4).
(3)
Tag wire and remove wire nuts (10). Separate wires (11 and 14).
(4)
Remove screw (12) and ground wire (13) from Junction box.
(5)
Unscrew the cable connector (2) from connector nut (3) and pull power cable (1) lead wires out of Junction
box (4).
(6)
Turn handwheel (7, fig. 3-9) to provide slack in drivebelt (4) and remove belt from motor pulley (5). If
drivebelt requires replacement, refer to para c..
(7)
Remove nuts (8), washers (9 and 10) and screws (11) from motor base.
(8)
Lift motor from its mount.
