(b) Connect any unions in the line.
(c) Connect any hose couplings.
(d) Secure the line with the clamps or other holding devices.
4-91. RAW WATER PIPING BETWEEN MAIN RAW WATER LINE AND SLURRY FEEDER.
a.
Removal and Disassembly.
(1)
Disconnect the nuts (1, fig. 4-65) and remove the tubing assembly (2).
(2)
Remove plug (4) from cross pipe (3) and remove cross pipe (3) from nipple (11).
(3)
Remove nipple (11) from elbow (13) and remove elbow from nipple (14).
(4)
Remove valve (12) from bushing (15) and nipple.
b.
Inspect. Inspect all parts for damage.
c.
Replace. Replace any parts that are damaged.
d.
Reassembly and Installation.
(1)
Install valve (12, fig. 4-65) onto bushing (15) and install nipple (14) into the valve (12).
(2)
Install elbow (13) on nipple (18) and install nipple (11) into elbow (13).
(3)
Install cross pipe (3) onto nipple (11) and install plug (4) into cross pipe (3).
(4)
Connect tubing assembly (2) to cross pipe (3) using connectors (5).
(5)
Connect other end of tubing (2) to the slurry ejector (6) using the connectors (5).
4-92. RAW WATER PIPING BETWEEN INLET HOSE AND FLOAT VALVE BYPASS LINE.
a.
Removal.
(1)
Loosen hose clamp (26, fig. 4-71) and remove hose (27) from the adapter (28).
(2)
Unscrew adapter (28) from bushing (25), bushing from tee (24) and raw water sight glass (23) from tee
(24).
(3)
Remove tee (24) from nipple (22) and elbow (21) from pipe (20).
